If anyone is interested in taking over Custom CD Labels please drop an email to mhoney@gmail.com. I hate to see the site fall behind after 10 years but I just haven't had the time to do the needed improvements. Don't worry though, even though the site hasn't improved much I will keep it up and running. Deadman

Server HD CrashPosted by :Deadman

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the servers hard drive crashed in a bad way last week. I have tried for several days to recover the data with no luck. I am forced to go back to an early August image. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you all will re-submit your labels.

Over the next week or so I will be moving the site to a new 3 Mbps line which will double the speed. During this time please be patient if you are unable to reach the site. It isn\'t going away, just moving.

This is a Label Site, not a Cover SitePosted by :Andyman

It seems that a couple of our more recent contributors seem not to realize this fact, or maybe they have yet to realize that discs are, in fact, round, and not square. So, if you are wondering why your contributions keep getting deleted, now you know. You might want to have a look at the top of the PC section as well, to avoid being deleted in the future. Thanks as always to those contributors who actually do contribute labels of value! :)

Label GuidesPosted by :Andyman

Most of you probably already know about this, but we posted a series of How To Get Deleted label guides in the PC section awhile back. They\'re at the very top of the list there if you\'re interested in learning about what we look for when deciding to keep or delete labels. They\'re fun reading too. :)

Submition of new labels is down. We are working on upgrading the database to handle more labels. We appreciate your patience.

Uploading LabelsPosted by :Andyman
2006-02-14 14:43:36
Just a reminder to all of our label contributors that .jpg is the preferred image type here. In addition, we have a 1,000,000-byte limit on image size (a huge label with minimal compression should be smaller than this easily). Finally, you may get an error when uploading if you use non-alphanumeric characters in your title other than _ and ( ). As always, thanks for your great work!

We are working hard here at Custom CD Labels to make your web experience more pleasurable. Many areas are getting updated and changed as you will have noticed if your a frequent visitor. We are always looking for new ideas and/or comments. Feel free to e-mail myself at deadman@customcdlabels.com or you can reach Andyman by clicking the e-mail link. (Only send gripes to Andyman... LOL)

Retro CategoryPosted by :Andyman
2006-02-08 16:41:54
Hope you all are enjoying the new and revitalized customcdlabels.com! I wanted to mention that the Retro category is meant for any older disc-based game console that we don't already have a category for. When you upload labels to Retro, please use a ( ) prefix to state what console the label is for. Some common prefixes are (3do) 3DO, (cdi) CDi, (scd) SegaCD/MegaCD, (32x) Sega32X-CD, (jag) JaguarCD,(cd32) Amiga CD32, (cdtv) Commodore CDTV, (tgcd) TurboGrafxCD/TurboDuo/PC Engine CD, (sat) Saturn, and (ngcd) NeoGeoCD. Xbox360 labels should be put in the Xbox category with a (360) prefix. Thanks as always for your contributions everyone!
